Home » About us
Citizens Advice Derbyshire Districts is a local charity that provides free, impartial, independent and confidential advice for everyone across Amber Valley, Chesterfield, Derbyshire Dales, Erewash and High Peak.
Our first office opened in 1939 and we’ve been tirelessly working across the local community to help people ever since – whoever they are and whatever their problem. From benefits, housing, employment and consumer to debt, relationships, energy costs and more.
Our dedicated staff and volunteers provide high quality advice and guidance face-to-face, over the phone and online to help you find a way forward.
At Citizens Advice we also campaign for change, using the research compiled at a local and national level to improve circumstances for the whole community.
You can view our strategic plan here to learn more about our long-term vision.
We are governed by our memorandum and articles of association and by 15 individuals that make up our board of trustees.
Details of our trustee appointments and our annual accounts are available here on the Companies House website.
